EZ Fares & Passes

Our EZ Fare passes are the most convenient way to pay to ride the bus. Instead of using cash or tokens, simply purchase one of our EZ Fare Passes and use it like a prepaid credit card when boarding the bus. Compare EZ Fares to standard fares:

EZ Fare Pass Information

• One-Day Pass – good for unlimited rides during one calendar day
• 2-Ride Pass – good for 2 rides*
• 7-Day Pass – good for unlimited rides during a consecutive seven-day period
• 10-Ride Pass – good for 10 rides*
• 20-Ride Pass – good for 20 rides*
• 31-Day Pass – good for unlimited rides during a consecutive thirty-one day period

• There are no refunds for any EZ Fare Pass
• * Valid for one year after initial use

• Any Driver (One-Day and 2-Ride Passes ONLY)

Tokens, 3 for $5.00, may be purchased at:

• Trade & Transit Centre Information Office
• River Valley Transit Administrative Office
• City Treasurer’s Office
• Borough & Township Offices

Transfers

• Transfers are free
• Ask operator for transfer immediately upon boarding and deposit exact fare
• Transfers are for use only in a continuous direction–from point of origin to point of destination
• Transfers are not good for a return trip on the same route
• Transfers are good only for the next available bus, not to exceed one (1) hour

Youth Pass Promotional Pass – just $10!

• For a limited time any person ages 6 though 17 years old can purchase a 31 Day Youth Pass card at our Transit office, rear of 144 West Third Street, Williamsport.
• The Youth Pass may not be shared and if used by someone other the designated person, the Youth Pass card will be deemed invalid by the bus operator or RVT employee.
• Lost Youth Passes will not be replaced, a new pass must be purchased.
• Youth Passes are valid for 31 days and becomes active upon the first use by dipping it in the fare box upon boarding. Afterwards, the Youth Pass must be passed through the “slide element” on the top of the fare box.
• At this time, the Youth Pass is not available for purchase on the Token Transit smart phone application.
