Celebrating the People Behind the Ride
National Public Transit Employee Day Kicks Off Month-Long Recognition.
Williamsport, PA… March 18, 2026 marked National Public Transit Employee Day, and RVT is proud to celebrate the dedicated individuals who keep our community moving every day. From early morning routes to late evening drop-offs, our employees are the driving force behind our mission of “Getting You There.”
To kick off a month-long celebration honoring our team, RVT hosted a special employee appreciation lunch on March 18th. This event served as the launch of a series of activities recognizing the hard work, professionalism, and commitment of the people who make public transit in Lycoming County possible.
As part of the celebration RVT is highlighting its Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Customer Service and Administration team that include the friendly faces and helpful voices that riders interact with every day. Whether assisting with schedules, answering questions, or ensuring a smooth ride, these team members play a vital role in delivering a positive transit experience.
“National Public Transit Employee Day is to highlight all facets of public transit operation. This includes operators, maintenance, customer service, administrative and support services who all contribute to safe and reliable delivery of public transportation to the community.” said Todd Wright, RVTA Executive Director. “Their efforts keep our system running safely and reliably, and we are grateful for everything they do.”
Throughout the month, RVT will continue to celebrate employees with special recognition and events, reinforcing our appreciation for the team that keeps Lycoming County moving.
